Looking out to sea from a prime position on Hastings seafront, opposite the Victorian pier, this attractive hotel offers comfortable accommodation in stylish, modern rooms, some with superb sea views.
All of the 40 newly refurbished rooms have new en suite modern bathrooms and bring new levels of comfort, service and style to accommodation in the centre of Hastings, without pretentiousness or high prices.
The hotel is next door to the White Rock Theatre, just across the road from the beach and within easy reach of all the many attractions of this lively and historic town, set against a spectacular background of cliffs and beautiful countryside.
There is a relaxed cafe bar with free Wi-Fi wireless internet access and a seafront terrace with stunning views of the pier and the sea.
The White Rock Hotel is the only hotel in Hastings with its own significant parking (16 spaces).
Since buying the hotel 2 and a half years ago, the Bell and Parr families have begun an ongoing programme of improvement to transform the external and internal appearance and amenities of what was once 10 individual Victorian houses.
The hotel is proud to be completely non-smoking throughout, even in the cafe bar and outside on the terraces.
Well-behaved pets are welcome and the hotel has 2 resident cats and a dog.
Reception is staffed 24 hours a day, offering all the normal concierge services.
The White Rock Hotel offers a choice of meeting and function rooms and, in addition, can now offer a seamless conference package with the White Rock Theatre next door. Thanks to this arrangement, the hotel can provide a room holding over 1000 or a smaller room with a seating capacity of 250.
The hotel’s own 2 onsite function rooms are The Downstairs function suite and The Notley Room. The Downstairs function suite is situated on the hotel’s lower-ground floor and is a club-like venue which can accommodate up to 150 people for parties and discos. The room has a fully stocked bar, a sprung dance floor, flexible furnishing arrangements to accommodate any kind of event and a separate entrance from the street at the front of the hotel. The Notley Room is a bright room suitable for meetings and events for up to 30 people. The room is conveniently located at the rear of the hotel and has its own toilet facilities. Refreshments can be served in the room, or delegates/guests can break out into the cafe bar for food and drinks.

The relaxed, laid-back cafe bar has superb sea views and is the perfect place to meet friends or to grab a bite to eat. There is a seafront terrace with stunning views across the water and out to the horizon and, on cooler evenings, the terrace is heated with patio heaters. The cafe bar is completely non-smoking throughout.
The hotel’s generous cooked full English breakfasts are available every day until 12:00 and are known as the Full Audrey, named after the head cook who has worked at the hotel for 42 years. Other light meals and snacks, including a range of homemade cakes, are available until 22.00.
The hotel serves local wines and real ales and is the only hotel in East Sussex to feature in the 2007 CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Good Beer Guide. All of the ales on offer are sourced from local breweries and the hotel also stocks a range of local Sussex wines and fruit wines from Sedlescombe Organic and Carr Taylor vineyards, as well as wines from all around the world. A range of Café Direct fair trade coffees and teas is available.

By Car:
The hotel is located opposite the pier, right on the seafront. From the A21, follow the signs for the White Rock Theatre, which is right next door. This is the easiest way to find the hotel.
Parking:
The hotel has a small private car park for 16 cars. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, although spaces can be reserved for those with mobility problems. Public parking is also available in the area surrounding the hotel at an additional cost. There is some on-street parking (mostly metered) and several public car parks nearby.
By Train:
The hotel is within one km of Hastings railway station. Trains run regularly between Hastings and London, Ashford, Gatwick and Brighton.
